Hello and welcome to my blog! Growing up (and presently residing) in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, I have adopted a lot of it’s customs, values, and traditions and am proud to call Virginia my home. On this page you should learn quite a lot of my political beliefs and perhaps a bit more about me too. Not only do I embrace conservatism, but I also enjoy explaining the rational for my beliefs and learning about others with same, or even differing opinions. No conservative is quite the same as any other.
Want a bit more info about me do you? Well, I got my degree from the College of William and Mary. In recent elections, I’ve worked for both the Republican Party of Virginia and the Ron Paul Campaign. Right now, I’m living in the city of Harrisonburg and have pretty much limited my political activity to what you read here. In my free time, besides writing this blog, I try not to miss any Giants games (hey, at least one thing good has to come from New Jersey, am I right?) and I highly recommend giving Rock Band or Rock Band II a shot. Who knows…maybe one of these days I’ll get one of my two novels published.
I do hope you enjoy reading these posts at least half as much I will enjoy writing them. Visit again soon.

Josh:
Just came across your blog. What year did you graduate from W&M? Class of 93 here.
Josh – If you’re a Ron Paul conservative, why in the world are you supporting Bob McDonnell? Dr. Paul is hardly enthused w/ McDonnell…
Hey Josh, nice blog would you add my blog link to your blog roll, http://gwatson0008.wordpress.com/
Hi Josh,
I live over the mountain from you in MADISON COUNTY.
I too am conservative, and I freelance editorial cartoons for the Culpeper Star Exponent. Because of the state of the Newspaper industry, I do a lot of local and Virginia pieces. My work also appears on All Right Magazine.
I would like to have a larger platform for my Virginia local toons.
Anyways, check out my cartoon blog,www.dog-gone-right.com. and keep up the good work!

Josh,
Keep up the good vibes. I hope November 2010 will renew my faith in government– probably not regardless of the outcome.
I live in Nelson County, VA. I’m a transplant from Northern Virginia– (Thank God).
I love Ron Paul– especially his dislike of the Federal Reserve which I believe is the cause of most economic ills we suffer. My biggest crusade is what I consider to be completely bogus inflation numbers foisted on the Bureau of Labor Statistics (by the Fed) and the citizens. The phony, low numbers, especially core inflation, have allowed the Fed to pursue easy money policies and hence pricing bubbles, investment bubbles, and corruption of free market feedbacks that keep the economy corrected.
Bernanke recently said he did not know why the price of gold is going through the roof. Shameful. Of course, Ron Paul told him we have a worldwide currency crisis, which Ben already knew.
Best of Luck.

Joshua,
Another Great Looking Blog from WordPress! Like you I am a staunch Ron Paul supporter and a lover of the State of Virginia. The only thing I disagree with you about NJ is that it only has one thing going for it (the Giants). I’ll have you know there is another great football team from NJ and they wear Green!
Wish you the very best on all your endeavors.

Joshua:
Back in the day, I worked for Cooper & Secrest. Well, that firm is history now. I gather they changed their name to Secrest Strategic Services about a year ago but the economy took them out. Here’s a link to the Campaigns and Elections article:

Thanks for the info Dave. I assume you read my pieces entitled “Working for the Enemy” where I retell my days with Cooper & Secrest? I’m glad to say that the experience allowed me to meet some fine folks and engage in rational and meaningful religious and political discussions with a couple of my co-workers. Unfortunately, not all of the management appreciated this concept of differing opinions and rational dialogue, which ultimately led to a hostile workplace and my resignation. Given how the whole thing ended, I can’t say I’m sorry to see Cooper & Secrest go. Nevertheless, for the vast majority who relied on that business for a paycheck, I hope that they have been able to transition into new jobs without too much trouble.
Love your blog, Joshua!
Look it’s Josh the Neocon!
I just came across your blog and look forward to reading more. Looks like there is alot to surf. Have you any topics regarding food freedoms or legalization of raw milk?
Hello, my name is Crystal Raymond, I live in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
I am trying to locate Suzanne Curran, western vice chairwoman of the Republican Party of Virginia. I have seen a few photos of her here through internet search.
Suzanne was the founder and President of the International Women’s Association in Kuala Lumpur, which was formed in 1988. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year and would like to get in contact with her, but no one seems to have any information on her.
I wonder if I may seek your help in locating her and asking her to get in touch with me? my email address is cr2@streamyx.com. I would be so grateful for your assistance.
Many thanks and warm regards,
Crystal Raymond
Good morning Crystal.
